Johannes Mounerii, jurist, procurator for the episcopal chapter, appeared in court with Biatrix Gavote, the wife of Pauletus Laurencii. They explain that lord Guillelmus Valencie, a priest and beneficed cleric in the church of Marseille, has died, leaving a testament in which he declared Biatrix to be his heir for life. To ensure that the debts of the estate do not exceed the assets, they request permission to compile an inventory. The inventory begins on folio 4r.
