Francescho di Pagolo's two sons, Giovanni and Jacopo, were named as the heirs to his estate and to the goods listed on the inventory of his home, completed in July of 1383. The decedent was an apothecary, and among his many belongings were 19 booklets on the works of the Church fathers, written on goat-skin parchment, as well as other luxury items such as rings mounted with pearls and diamonds.
