The undefended property of the late Johannes, a wine porter (or the son of one), was inventoried in the context of a dispute between Johannes’ heirs, on one side, and Franciscus and Ymelda, Johannes’ widow, on the other. Little of value remained in Johannes’ home. Unusually, a note at the end of the inventory specifies that it was drawn up in the communal palace in the presence of two witnesses: lord Petrobonus, a member of the noble Battagliuzzi family, and a notary by the name of Çacharias.
