Bartelomeo di Lazzaro, cloth merchant, died sometime between September 23, 1390 when his will was written, and September 27, when the inventory of his belongings was completed. The deceased named his son Niccolaio as his heir, along with the unborn child of the wife of his deceased brother Attaviano. The inventories mention his mother, Monna Tomasa (f. 327v), as well as two books of interest; one an "Ovid in the vernacular," and another, a "Book of fables"(f. 371 v).
