On January 29, 1295, two notaries, Jean Canavier and Raymond Étienne, initiated a seizure from Garssanus due to the failure by the Jewish community of Provence to pay the tallia judeorum. On June 28, 1295, on the order of Raymond Russi de Camis (the vicar of Aix) Salvetus de Castello and Vivas de Randia presented themselves to the notary, Jean Canavier, and assessed Garssannus's goods at 4 livres and 5 sous.
