Manuscript Hs. 198 from the Tyrolean State Archive (Tiroler Landesarchiv) describes items found in Greifenstein castle in 1426. In 1422, a feud broke out between Duke Fridrich IV of Austria and the Starkenberg family, who held the castle. In 1426, the castle was besieged by ducal troops and conquered on November 26. The inventory was compiled short afterward. Manuscript Hs. 198 also includes lists of the individuals who participated in the siege and the defense of the castle as well as their equipment. These lists will be published separately in DALME and may be found by performing a search for "Starkenberg castle."
