Antoine Raverii, secretary of the Duke of Savoy Amadeus VIII, draws up an inventory of the objects found in the castle of Moncalieri (10 km south of Turin, in Piedmont). The castle had come under the rule of the ducal branch of Savoy after the death of the last Prince of Savoy-Achaea (December 1418). The structure of the inventory follows the spatial organization of the castle (the kitchen, a tower, the cellar, the bedrooms...).
