This lengthy dossier includes the will, inventories, and accounts of Bartolomeo di Francescho Boscoli, a resident of the quarter of Santa Croce. The first stipulation in his will, written on June 22, 1386, is that one pound of silver be granted to the town of Florence for the maintenance of the city walls. Further reading through the dossier suggests an extended family, several of whom Bartolomeo housed and fed over the years (f 172v).
