The inventory of Piero di Giovani de Dolce di Pazzi was created on August 17, 1389, and the estate managed by the city of Florence until at least 1392. The names of two famous Florentine families are found in the subsequent activity on the account: the Pazzi family, whose descendents infamously led an assassination attempt against Lorenzo de Medici in the fifteenth century, rented a home in the San Piero neighborhood to Villano di Giovanni Villani, a relative or descendant of the famous Florentine historian Giovanni Villani.
